Xenia Loizidou’s interview in Phileleftheros about the Coastal Managment in Cyprus and the SAVEMEDCOASTS Project

In this interview, ISOTECH’s Director, Xenia I. Loizidou, discusses the management of coastal areas in Cyprus, addressing the issue of large coastal developments and also the need for integrated coastal management that takes into account the sustainable use of the coasts and the sea. Xenia also mentions the ongoing project SAVEMEDCOASTS  funded by the Directorate General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations that aims to assess and manage the risks and threats that are posed by sea level rise in the Mediterranean. In the article Xenia stressed out that the coasts of Cyprus are the most important natural resource of the island and for this reason blue growth should become our priority.
