ISOTECH Ltd becomes the Cypriot Coordinating Body of the International Coastal Cleanup
ISOTECH Ltd, as a particularly active organisation in the area of beach and seabed cleanups, has become the Coordinating Body in Cyprus of the International Coastal Cleanup of Ocean Conservancy. Ocean Conservancy is an organisation that encourages volunteers to organise cleanups implementing its protocol, record the data and submit them to the organisation. In this way, they are able to publish yearly reports on the state of marine litter in each country. So far, there have been no data, and thus no report, for Cyprus. But that is about to change. ISOTECH has and will continue to use the Ocean Conservancy protocol to record marine litter data and submit them to our partners. Additionally, any organisation wishing to implement a cleanup could now refer to ISOTECH for support. As a result, we will all become more aware of the state of our environment, the main types of marine litter found on our beaches, floating in the sea or on our seabed, and thus become better equiped to address its sources. Watch this space for the first Cypriot Marine Litter Database to be launched soon, based on these and other marine litter data!!
