Within the framework of the TERRASAFE Project, Isotech’s “Symbiotic Circular Green Waste Management Scheme” was selected for implementation in Tunisia, supporting locally adapted solutions for sustainable organic waste management in areas facing desertification challenges.
Following the mapping process carried out in the pilot area, Isotech gathered 50 stakeholders, including farmers, researchers and representatives of local associations, in a participatory Design Workshop to present and discuss the draft design of the scheme developed based on local realities and needs.
The workshop was followed by a hands-on composting training at GDA Baragouthia, where participants explored the different phases of the composting process through live demonstrations using GDA Baragouthia’s equipment and engaged directly with the methodology through questions and discussion.
A big thank you to GDA Baragouthia for hosting the activities and to Institut des Régions Arides IRA Médenine for the excellent collaboration!
TERRASAFE is funded by the EU’s Horizon Europe programme under grant agreement No. 10115737 and by UKRI.
